At Stichting Vluchtelingen Werkintegratie we strongly believe in the power of connection. Our mission is to support refugees, asylum seekers and status holders free of charge and without profit in preparing and supervising their first steps into the Dutch labor market so that they can achieve economic independence and better social integration. As a Social Media Marketer, you play a crucial role within the foundation, both towards our target group and other stakeholders (government, semi-government, NGOs, etc.).
Activities
- (co) drafting, further refining and implementing the Marketing Strategy for the foundation.
- Maintaining and expanding existing communities and social media channels (including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and X).
- Building and maintaining relationships with members of communities and social media channels.
- Content creation, management, and planning.
- Promoting events with local employers and companies.
- The promotion of company visits for refugees and asylum seekers with the aim of gaining knowledge and insight.
- Collaborate with local governments, companies, educational institutions and social organizations.
- The promotion of community-based events to promote social integration between our target group and society.
What do we expect from you
- Sincere interest in refugees, asylum seekers, and status holders.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Empathy, patience and respect for diverse cultures, backgrounds, regardless of gender and creed.
- Entrepreneurial, not afraid to make new contacts and go outside your comfort zone.
- Availability for up to 24 hours a week, with flexibility in working hours as an advantage.
- Proficiency in Dutch.
- English proficiency is an advantage.
- Proficiency in another language such as Arabic and/or Tigrigna and/or Ukrainian is an advantage.
- Controlling Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with social media marketing.
- Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe, etc. is an advantage.
