At Stichting Vluchtelingen Werkintegratie we strongly believe in the power of connection. Our mission is to support refugees, asylum seekers and status holders free of charge and without profit in their first steps into the Dutch labor market, so that they can achieve economic independence and better social integration. As a General Employee, you play an essential role within our organization. You act as the central point of contact for both internal employees, our target group (refugees, asylum seekers and status holders), and external parties (donors and sponsors, COA, Red Cross, etc.). You support the board in coordinating and carrying out various activities, ensuring efficient and effective communication and cooperation between everyone involved. Your location is our office in The Hague, where hybrid working is possible. In addition, you contribute to organizing events and initiatives that support our mission. You are flexible, solution-oriented and have a strong affinity with our target group and goals.

 

Activities

· Act as the central point of contact for internal and external communication.

· Ensure clear and efficient exchange of information between everyone involved.

· Assist with the board's daily operational tasks.

· Contributions to the strategic planning and execution of projects.

· Plan and coordinate events and activities that support the foundation's mission.

· Collaborate with external partners and volunteers to achieve successful events.

· Maintain administrative and operational documentation.

· Ensuring a structured and accessible archiving of important documents.

· Providing practical support to refugees, asylum seekers and status holders.

· Helping navigate through various services and programs offered by the foundation.

 

What do we expect from you

· Genuine interest in your fellow refugees and asylum seekers.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate and inspire others.

· Empathy, patience, and respect for diverse cultures, backgrounds, regardless of gender and creed.

· Entrepreneurial, not afraid to make new contacts and go outside your comfort zone.

· Availability for at least 24 hours a week, with flexibility in working hours as an advantage.

· Living in the region of The Hague.

· Proficiency in Dutch.

· Proficiency in English.

· Proficiency in Arabic, Ukrainian or another language, for example, is an advantage.

· Control of Microsoft Office products.
